Urban agriculture extension
I have long been frustrated with the continued conflation of urban agriculture with urban food security - a conflation that does neither any favours. But after the Carnegie3 Conference I was asked to put together a short piece to support the start of a process to generate a national conversation on the future of public sector extension and advisory services. I was asked to write a short opinion piece drawing on my perspectives on urban agriculture with particular focus on extension services.
Here’s a link to my submission on the much more extensive National Extension Policy Development Website. There are 14 Agriculture-based provocations up so far and some really interesting material (Link).
